It's probably not what you think. Most people think gravity is a pull caused by a big thing---like a planet. The earth is big and if something out there comes by too closely, the earth will pull it in, right?
Not really.
Gravity does not pull.
A massive object, that means big and dense and not just big, creates a dent in space/time. Imagine a trampoline. Now, put a bowling ball on the trampoline. See how it creates a depression around it? If you now drop a marble on to the trampoline, it will roll toward and then into the bowling ball.
Then Put the bowling on the floor. Put a marble near it. Does the bowling ball still attract the marble? No.
The earth does not attract objects in space. Rather, things fall into the warp created in space by the earth. Einstein proved this stuff. Someday I'll explain that. But for now, let go of the idea that gravity is a pull. Instead, think of things as falling into the warp.
The same idea applies when we go into space. We must climb up and out of the warp. Think about the marble on the trampoline. It has to get out of the dent made by the bowling ball or it just falls back. It's not escaping the pull of the bowling ball.
Just being big doesn't create a lot of gravity. You need density. A balloon on a trampoline won't make much of a dent, would it? That's why density matters so much.
Let's apply this to your business. If you can warp your market, customers will fall toward you. Let's think about this....how can a business create density? What is density in business? Density means more 'stuff' per cubic inch. So maybe more service than your market expects can increase your density. More product features, faster ship times, greater reliability---all more than expected increase your business's density.
I guarantee if you increase your business's density, more customers will fall in your business's warp!
I wish you would just think about this. Put away all the other nonsense. Forget 6-Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality and Lean. Get dense.
